Motif Academy was started by Bangalore based Pianist and Composer Anand Pilakkat. The first center of Motif Academy was started at HSR Layout, Bangalore in the year 2011. Since then we have trained over 2000 students in Piano/Keyboard and Guitar and have helped more than 100 students to perform live.
In the year 2016, we expanded to a second center at Koramangala, Bangalore considering the overwhelming response we receive from students as well as parents. 'Motif Academy' started as a small musical idea has impacted the lives of many aspiring musicians and have helped many to kick-start their career in music.

Anand Pilakkat started his career in music as a classical Pianist and later got into other styles of music including Rock, Jazz and Contemporary. Apart from being a music teacher, Anand is also into his band 'Dark Light' and other music production projects. He has worked with some of the major brands like Tata and Britannia in their ad film projects.
Anand started teaching Piano in the year 2008 and have trained over 2500 students so far. Before starting Motif Academy, he has taught students in various music schools across Bangalore. Anand believes the best musicians are often crafted out of passion, dedication and the right mentorship.
